Dear Fans,

It is with great reluctance that I have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone Depravation Festival 2025. 

This decision has not come easy for me but I feel very strongly that I am doing it for the rite reasons. 

This year's event has been very difficult with challenge after challenge presenting at every corner. I originally organised 2025 to be at The Marble Factory in Bristol, this was a 1300 capacity 2 day event with a lineup that really excited me. Upon preparing to announce and make it contractual with the venue the manager was made aware that they would unfortunately be closing doors and he was instructed not to contract anymore shows beyond X date. I reached out to many venues of similar capacity in the area that would work with the morals of the Depravation Festival and was unsuccessful.

Following repeated difficulty with 2024 and now 2025 I decided that I needed to be in full control of the event to ensure it runs smoothly. The opportunity to host Depravation Festival outdoors at a great little site presented itself, It was perfect for what i wanted to do with 2025, so we agreed the site and i rearranged the event to be hosted there. I had everything in place, the event was budgeted to suit this site, the lineup was drastically changed to suit the size, deposits all paid for staging and site plans. Not too long ago I received an email from the site approximately 2 sentences long informing me that the event is not happening at Thatado Farm this year. I pleaded with them, asked for explanations and justifications, even just some acknowledgement but I had no response. 

I needed to save the event and push even further. I demoted myself at my day job and reduced my hours to give me 2 additional days a week to really commit to Depravation Festival, I found a new site and continued to commit to the event this year.

Unfortunately, Whilst i have been working to the new site i have faced drastically higher outgoings that had not been previously budgeted for, Im finding a huge amount of additional items that would be required to make the new site work in a way that doesn't cause too much disruption to the surrounding residence, and ultimately with all the additional challenges created by moving to a new site, safety, quality, and security is at my biggest concern.

I do not feel that with the resources in place and budget available this year after moving location that I can provide a top quality experience that is safe. I am the only person involved with the Depravation Festival and despite my attempts to build a team, I have been unable to source committed, determined individuals with the same morals and enthusiasm I have myself. My plan as of now is to re structure the next addition of the event, re-budget the event, and have much longer planning it to ensure that the next Depravation Festival is an experience that lives up to the success of 2024 and 2023.

Continuing to go ahead with this year's event would not feel rite for me and the levels of stress keeping this together has been hard for my family and myself. I am not prepared for this to escalate by continuing with this year's event when I am already struggling with the

unexpected logistics of 2025. You deserve Depravation Festival to be done rite, and with some extra time i can deliver that to you all. I will be working with some of the bands to assist them in finding alternative shows, This may include me promoting some depending on venue availability. I am forever grateful for the continued support from bands and fans of Depravation Festival, your understanding holds deep meaning for me.

Please bear with me for further information/news and please do not hesitate to ask questions. I will answer to the best of my ability. 

Though it is a postponement, i do not feel comfortable asking people if they wish to carry tickets over to the next show and will be gradually refunding all tickets purchased, this will not be immediate as i manage Depravation Tickets myself, It is a manual process, rest assured that it is a priority to me that you receive your money back as soon as possible.
